The Process

Pre-event coordination — We connect with the event organiser or PR team to understand the lineup, stage layout, lighting rig details, and photo pit access rules. Most KL venues allow three songs in the pit — knowing this in advance lets us plan which moments to prioritise during that limited window.
Venue arrival and scouting — We arrive during soundcheck to scout angles, test exposure under the stage lighting, and capture artist portraits in a calmer setting. Soundcheck shots often produce some of the best images because performers are relaxed and the lighting crew is still fine-tuning.
Performance coverage — Using the Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 GM II from the photo pit and the Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II from audience positions, we capture the full energy spectrum — from tight close-ups of performers mid-song to wide shots that show the scale of the crowd and the atmosphere of the venue. The Sony A7V’s exceptional low-light autofocus handles rapidly changing stage lighting without hesitation.
Crowd and atmosphere — Between sets, we move through the audience capturing reactions, dancing, merchandise areas, food stalls, and the general vibe of the event. These images are invaluable for promoters marketing future editions.
Post-event delivery — Same-night social media selects delivered within hours if needed for live posting. Full edited gallery delivered within 3–5 business days.
