The Process

Consultation — We discuss the look you want, the ages of your children (this affects timing and energy planning), location preferences, and wardrobe coordination. Matching colours without being too matchy — that is the sweet spot.
Location selection — KL offers beautiful family portrait settings year-round. Perdana Botanical Gardens provides lush greenery, KLCC Park offers the iconic towers as backdrop, Taman Tugu gives a quiet forest feel, and Desa ParkCity’s waterfront is perfect for families with dogs. We recommend the best option based on your family’s energy and style.
The session — We start with the full family group while everyone is fresh and cooperative (especially the young ones). Then we work through smaller groupings — siblings together, parents with each child, grandparents with grandchildren. Between directed poses, we step back and let the family interact naturally — those candid shots of parents laughing with their kids often become the favourites.
Working with children — Kids do not follow shot lists, and that is perfectly fine. We work with their energy, not against it. The Viltrox 85mm f/1.4 and Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 GM II let us capture genuine expressions from a comfortable distance, so children are not intimidated by a camera in their face. If a child wants to run, we photograph the running. If they want to hug mum, we photograph the hug.
Editing and delivery — Images are retouched with warm, natural tones that enhance skin tones across all complexions. Delivered in both print-ready resolution (for framing) and social media formats within 7–10 business days.
