The Process

1. Pre-session consultation — For maternity sessions, we discuss timing (28–36 weeks is the sweet spot), wardrobe options, and the mood you want — ethereal and soft, bold and dramatic, or casual and natural. For newborns, we plan around your baby’s routine — feeding times, nap schedules, and comfort needs always come first.
2. Maternity session — We work with soft, flattering light to celebrate the beauty of pregnancy. Outdoor sessions at golden hour in locations like Perdana Botanical Gardens or FRIM produce warm, glowing images. In-home sessions feel more intimate and personal. The Viltrox 85mm f/1.4 Pro creates gorgeous background blur that draws all attention to you, while the Nanlite FS-60B continuous light allows us to work gently indoors without harsh flash.
3. Newborn session — These sessions are entirely baby-led. If baby needs to feed, we pause. If baby needs a nappy change, we pause. If baby sleeps through the whole session, even better — sleeping newborn portraits are some of the most precious. We work in your home for maximum comfort, using natural window light supplemented with soft continuous lighting. No loud flash pops, no cold studio environments — just warmth, patience, and gentle handling.
4. Sibling and family groupings — If older siblings are involved, we capture their first interactions with the new baby — the tentative touch, the proud big-brother or big-sister smile. Partner portraits holding the newborn together round out the collection.
5. Editing and delivery — Each image is carefully retouched with soft, warm tones. Skin is smoothed gently and naturally. Both colour and artistic black-and-white versions are included. Delivered within 7–10 business days in print and digital formats.
