Getting Started

If you’re new to the photography scene in Kuala Lumpur, start by joining one or two Facebook groups and attending a local photowalk. Most KL photography communities are welcoming to beginners and hobbyists alike. Bring your camera, introduce yourself, and be open to feedback. Some of the strongest professional connections in Malaysia’s photography industry started with a casual conversation during a weekend walk through Chinatown or Kampung Baru.

Sorot Studio actively participates in the local photography community and regularly shares event recommendations, gear insights, and collaborative opportunities. Follow us on Instagram for updates on upcoming photowalks, workshops, and community events happening across Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley.
