Photography Workshops KL
Hands-on photography workshops for beginners and enthusiasts who want to move beyond auto mode. Small group sessions covering camera fundamentals, composition, portrait lighting, and basic post-processing. Bring your camera and leave with new skills and confidence. These are not lecture-style classes — you will be shooting from the first hour.
What This Service Covers
Practical, hands-on photography education in small groups. Each workshop focuses on a specific skill set and includes a mix of theory, live demonstration by the instructor, and guided practice where you shoot and receive real-time feedback. Workshops are held at photogenic KL locations so you build portfolio-worthy images while learning. All camera brands welcome — Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, or even a good smartphone.

The Process
- Registration — Sign up through our website or Instagram. Choose your preferred date and topic
- Pre-workshop preparation — You receive a short email with what to bring, how to prepare your camera, and what to expect
- Workshop day — We meet at the venue. The first segment covers theory with live demonstrations. Then we go out and shoot together, with hands-on guidance and tips as you practice
- Image review — We gather, review each other’s work on a laptop, and discuss what works and why. Constructive feedback from the instructor and fellow participants
- Follow-up — After the workshop, you receive the cheat sheet PDF and are invited to join our WhatsApp group for ongoing tips and community support
Why Choose Sorot Studio
Our workshops are taught by a working photographer, not an academic instructor. Every technique demonstrated is something actively used on real client shoots. You learn what actually matters in the field — not textbook theory that sounds impressive but rarely applies. And because the instructor is also a web developer, workshops for business owners include practical advice on using your photos effectively on your website and social media.
Pricing
From RM100 per student. Private one-on-one sessions from RM300. Corporate group workshops (team-building activity) from RM1,500 for up to 15 participants.
