Restaurant & Cafe Photography KL

RM2,000–4,000/session

A complete visual package for F&B businesses — food, drinks, interiors, ambiance, staff in action, and plated details — everything you need to fill your website, social media, GrabFood listing, and printed menu with mouth-watering imagery.

What This Service Covers

Comprehensive single-session photography covering your entire F&B visual needs. Unlike food-only photography, this captures the complete dining experience — the space, the people, the atmosphere, and of course, the food.

Who This Is For

  • New restaurants and cafes preparing for launch
  • Existing F&B businesses refreshing their visual content
  • Outlets joining delivery platforms needing menu photography
  • F&B groups managing multiple outlets

What You Get

  • Food photography (10–20 key dishes)
  • Beverage photography
  • Interior and ambiance shots
  • Chef and staff action shots
  • Detail shots (table settings, branding, signage)
  • 50–80 retouched images
  • Organized by usage: menu, social media, Google Business, delivery apps
  • Turnaround: 5–7 business days

The Process

  1. Menu and brand review — Before the shoot, we study your menu, brand identity, and the platforms where images will appear. A fine-dining establishment in Bukit Bintang needs a different visual treatment than a street-side mamak or a specialty coffee cafe in Damansara. We tailor the shooting style to match your positioning.
  2. Scheduling and prep — We schedule the session during closed hours or before service for uninterrupted access to the kitchen and dining area. Your chef prepares the hero dishes fresh, and we work through them systematically while they are at their most photogenic — steam rising, sauces glistening, garnishes fresh.
  3. Food and beverage capture — Using natural light wherever possible (supplemented with the Nanlite FS-60B for darker interiors), we photograph each dish from multiple angles — overhead flat-lay for rice bowls and sharing platters, 45-degree for plated mains, and side angles for stacked burgers and layered desserts. Beverages get the same attention — condensation on cold drinks, latte art, and the warm glow of tea in natural light.
  4. Interior and ambiance — We capture the dining experience beyond the food. The bar setup, the open kitchen, the corner booth, the entrance signage, the carefully chosen decor details — these images sell the atmosphere and give potential customers a feel for what walking into your restaurant is like.
  5. Staff and kitchen action — Authentic shots of your chef plating dishes, baristas pulling espresso, and servers greeting guests add a human element that builds connection and trust.
  6. Delivery organised by platform — Images are sorted into folders by intended use: printed menu, Instagram feed, Facebook ads, Google Business listing, GrabFood, ShopeeFood, and website. Each folder contains images cropped and optimised for that specific platform.

Why Choose Sorot Studio

KL’s F&B scene is one of the most competitive in Southeast Asia. From Jalan Alor hawkers to Michelin-starred restaurants, every outlet is fighting for attention on Instagram, Google, and delivery platforms. Professional food photography is no longer optional — it is the minimum standard that customers expect. We understand the unique challenges of Malaysian F&B photography — working with rich curries that photograph very differently from Western plating, capturing the vibrant colours of kuih and ABC without oversaturation, and making nasi lemak look as irresistible on screen as it tastes in person.

Pricing

From RM2,000 for a standard session (up to 20 dishes). Multi-outlet packages available for F&B groups managing several locations.
